How to download YouTube videos and Shorts responsibly
Understand YouTube link types, source formats, audio options, playlist previews, and access limitations.

Quick answer
Paste an accessible YouTube watch, Shorts, or youtu.be link and choose Get video. Inspect the title and available formats, choose an appropriate option, and start processing. Use Save file when the job completes if needed. Check both YouTube’s current Terms of Service and the rights attached to the video before using a third-party downloader. A creator’s permission alone does not necessarily resolve platform-terms restrictions.
Choose video or audio deliberately
Some sources return audio-only options alongside video formats. Read each format label and extension. Higher-resolution video can require additional processing before a playable file is ready. The tool cannot create a resolution or audio track not offered by the source.
Preview playlists before starting
Switch to Batch / playlist and enable expansion for a supported playlist or channel. Check the returned entries and choose formats individually. Source access and service limits can reduce the preview; a preview is not a guarantee of a complete channel archive.
Understand restricted videos
Private, deleted, age-restricted, members-only, or region-limited videos may be unavailable. A subscription or signed-in browser session does not automatically give this server access. The tool does not bypass those restrictions.
Consider official alternatives
Where available, YouTube’s own offline features may be more appropriate; offline viewing inside an app is not necessarily an exported video file. For your own uploads, check YouTube Studio’s current download options. Feature availability varies by account, location, and video.
Retention and permission
Completed-file links expire 24 hours after completion. Save your file before expiry; availability during that window is not guaranteed. Files are physically deleted only while the cleanup worker is running, and deletion can fail, so a file may remain on the server after its link expires. This service is not permanent storage. Only download content you own or have permission to save. Public visibility is not permission to reuse a video, its soundtrack, or other copyrighted material. The tool does not circumvent privacy settings, age checks, regional restrictions, or other access controls. Some sources may be accessed through an operator-managed platform session; that session is not your account and grants no access beyond what it is itself permitted.
